Install Update(Patches) on ESXi

Download a ZIP file with the update

​​to any datastore

Set to maintenance mode

esxcli system maintenanceMode set --enable=true

Install the patch

esxcli software vib update --depot /vmfs/volumes/datastore1/iso/ESXi670-202207001.zip

Reboot ESXi host

reboot -f

Disable the maintenance mode

esxcli system maintenanceMode set --enable=false

Make sure that the OS version has been updated

vmare -v
